Okey Okoli, DEf vice-chairmanThe vice-chairman of DEF is Okey Okoli, MD, an astute physician and committed philanthropist. He was admitted to DMGS in Lugard House at the close of the civil war in 1970, from where he graduated in 1974 before gaining admission to study medicine at the University of Nigeria. Following a brief stint in private practice in Nigeria as a physician, he left for specialist training in the United Kingdom, qualifying MRCOG in 1993 before moving to the United States for further training and research. After residency training in obstetrics & gynecology, he single-handedly set up a fully comprehensive women’s treatment facility in San Antonio, Texas, where he has been domiciled since 2001. He has been a tireless proponent of everything “Grammar School” since the launching of our North American chapter of the DMGS alumni association.
